A review of Samuel Adams Black Lager (in the category of Booze) by: tim This beer was purchased as a part of a Samuel Adams variety pack and was poured into a glass from a bottle.
Since I have cold-like symptoms, it's a little hard for me to capture the aroma of this beer. However, the taste is full and good. Samuel Adams Black Lager has a rich, deep roasted malt flavor and very slightly bitter aftertaste. When poured, it has a thick, foamy head that is tan in color and the beer is very dark but transparent and certainly not foggy.
This beer is full of flavor and I would suggest it to others, especially those who enjoy stouts. I do not suggest this beer as something to drink all night.
